Selling a house in Chicago during COVID was challenging enough. Doing it from California just added to the complexity. I wanted an agent who was experienced and knowledgeable about the business and the market. I respected Mario’s candor, service, and professionalism. His team was phenomenal and kept me updated on any progress with the property – almost to the minute. Moreover, his relationships helped to expedite any service that was needed around the house. There was no task too small: when a light bulb in the stairway went out, his team got a replacement. After heavy rainfall, Mario’s team checked up on the house without being prompted. I appreciated their attention to detail as it offered me some peace of mind being so far away. We worked with a contractor recommended by Mario to ready the house for sale. We ran into a problem which was expediently managed. These things happen in real estate (and in life)! We dealt with it and moved on. Although he and his group are very busy I felt the communication was superb. Mario is patient and direct. He uses approachable and inclusive language. I interviewed 5-10 agents before choosing Mario. I was a first-time seller and looked for the following things during these interviews: 1) Real estate experience (buying and selling) in the neighborhood and in my exact community/unit. 2) Personality and communication style (both during the interview as well as follow-up correspondences). 3) Sale timeline, strategy, and market analysis. 4) Presentation – in person, website, and social media (youtube interviews, Instagram, etc.) In my opinion, the key is finding an agent/team that is the BEST FIT for you and your goals. I am very happy with Mario and the MG Group and have already recommended them to family and friends.
