2020: A Year in Review

In a word, 2020 was unexpected. When we started out the year, we certainly didn’t expect the challenges we faced through the pandemic, a city-wide shutdown and self-quarantining at home. Despite those challenges, our team persevered and emerged with strength, passion and resolve. As we look back at 2020, here are some of the ways we’ve grown and adapted:

When the shutdown began in March, we immediately started tailoring our tactics to meet the needs and restrictions around our clients. We increased our use of 3-D tours, digital marketing and enhanced video, using virtual tools to allow showings to happen, keep sales moving and clients connected. Virtual sales experiences were a trend before 2020, and this year, they became a necessity. 

2020 also brought on a creative change at MG Group; our logo and website went through a complete redesign. Now, the MG Group brand has a fresh, contemporary look that matches the unparalleled excellence of our team. Our website even won Best Agent Website in this year’s Chicago Agents’ Choice Awards

Of course, this year we worked tirelessly to make sure everything kept running smoothly despite the unprecedented challenges facing us. We sold/closed 330 properties with nearly $180 million dollars in volume, an astounding feat in the face of uncertainty. MG Group received the Chicago Five Star Real Estate Agent award from Five Star Professional, for the fifth year in a row. And our founder, Mario Greco, received the Billionaire’s Club Award from Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate for his dedication to the real estate industry.
