Jenna Bulger may have joined the MG Group in 2021, but she has been calling Chicago home for nearly 2 decades. With her invaluable skill set, Jenna prides herself on combining disciplined professionalism with good-natured humor to ensure all clients’ experiences are not only effective, but enjoyable. Today, Jenna shares her past experiences and perspectives in our latest team spotlight:
How did you get involved in the real estate business?
In June 2020, I left my 14-year career in Client Services without a plan but in desperate need of a change. As I considered my next move, real estate continued to emerge as a possibility. After enough people in my life said they thought it was a natural fit for me, I decided to take the plunge and get my license. As luck would have it, Cyrus Seraj, a friend and fellow MG Group member, caught wind of my move and offered me an opportunity to join the MG Group. I am so grateful to Cyrus for seeing my potential and bringing me onto a team that is truly best in class.
How long have you been at MG Group? What have you learned from your time at MG?
I joined the MG Group in February of 2021. Being a part of the MG Group can best be described as having a front row seat in a masterclass for real estate. From the agents to the office staff to the marketing team – everyone works together to educate one another, share best practices, and support processes that keep us moving like a well-oiled machine. Mario makes it a priority to create discussion around topics ranging from macro-economic market conditions to specific transaction details. This level of knowledge sharing is a unique advantage as I further my career in the industry.
What keeps you passionate about what you do?
Providing exceptional client service is a value that was ingrained in me from a very early point in my career. The idea of creating a home that inspires togetherness and happiness is something I strive for, personally, and want others to experience, as well. The ability to meld together my desire to help others find their place in the world while optimizing their experience throughout the process – that is what keeps me passionate.
How does MG Group stand out from other teams, in the Chicago area or even nationwide?
I was on the phone recently with one of the attorneys the Group regularly refers and he commented on how refreshing it is to work with us because, when compared to other agents, we are so on top of the details and go the extra mile to ensure a successful outcome for our clients. I mention this because I believe that that sentiment encapsulates what sets the MG Group apart from other agents and teams. At the core of everything we do is an obsessive focus on client experience, professionalism, and communication—this is our competitive advantage.
What accomplishments are you most proud of with MG Group?
It is certainly no secret that the Spring 2022 Market in Chicago and nationwide was the most competitive market for buyers on record. Helping buyers successfully navigate their searches and secure homes they love without regret is an accomplishment in which I take great pride. Being able to lean on the collective knowledge and mentorship of the Group gave me a strategic edge that produced great results for my clients.
What trends are you seeing in the Chicago residential market that are most interesting these days, or in looking forward to throughout the year?
I’m going to deviate from the question slightly and focus on a professional shift to which I’m looking forward to. My experience in the industry thus far has been framed by an absolutely unprecedented market with low inventory, low interest rates, and skyrocketing demand. Starting out in this type of market was perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime experience. As we move toward a more rational market, I look forward to getting back to basics where hard work, knowledge, and high-quality client service are what make great agents successful.
